Privacy Policy

Your phone number. It is your account identity and the only destination texts can be delivered to. You prove you own it with a one-time passcode at signup.

Messages you send yourself. We process the content of each message in order to deliver it, and keep delivery records (whether a text arrived, and why not if it didn't) so you can see them on your dashboard.

Replies you text back. When you reply to a SelfPing text, we store the reply so your own code or agent can read it with your API key. Replies are deleted after 30 days.

Account and billing details. Payments are handled by our payment processor. We never see or store your card number.

Basic usage data. Ordinary web logs and API usage counts, used to run the service and enforce plan limits.

We use PostHog to understand page visits and actions such as copying setup code, managing keys and opening billing. Analytics connects website visits with signup, successful integration alerts and subscription payments through an account ID. We use first-party browser storage to connect visits and remember the source of a visit for up to 30 days.

We do not send your phone number, API keys, message content or payment card details to PostHog. We record signed-in dashboard and billing visits with text and inputs masked and code blocks excluded. We do not record console logs or network requests. Recordings are retained for 30 days. Our free analytics plan retains events for one year. Browser tracking may be blocked by your browser; operational signup, delivery and payment events are recorded on our servers.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Opt-in data and consent for text messaging will not be shared with any third party.

We do not sell your data, and we do not send you marketing texts. Every text through SelfPing is one you triggered yourself.

Only the service providers needed to run SelfPing: SMS delivery carriers, payment processing, authentication, hosting and product analytics. Each receives only what it needs to do its job.

Message frequency varies and is controlled entirely by you. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop receiving texts and HELP for help. See our Terms for the full messaging terms.

We keep account data while your account is active. To delete your account and its data, reach out through the contact page and we will remove it.
